A graphic and textile designer who has created designs for Tommy Hilfiger, Phat Farm, CK Jeans, J Crew, Kenneth Cole and a plethora of top name brands along with founding a pop culture inspired lifestyle company called Laidback in 2006.
Currently working on startup endeavor Todayships, a website and app that connects teens to creative companies to spend the day working and learning when school is out of session.
I recently founded a not for profit digital emersion program for teens ( in underexposed areas) called Exposure Camp that introduces teenagers to the idea of becoming content creators, programmers and digital creatives.
I have spoken on BBC America about social media and its presence in fashion and niche fields, as well as Saks 5th Ave and aMacy’s about social media and fashion I have also spoken on panels at SXSW, NY Social Media Week and BlogHer.
An outspoken advocate on diversifying design and technology, having spoken on radio and hosted events to bring attention to the lack of diversity in both the design and tech related industries. Started blog www.digitalcreativesofcolor.com and wrote ebook, 28 Days of Diversity in Design to expose the masses to talented creatives of color.
I run to maintain my health, encourage healthy living in the Bronx and to raise money for the Leukemia and Lyphoma Society and blog about it.
When I am not working or living online I am kicking it with my son cheering him on at one of his numerous sporting events or kicking it with my youth as the Direcor of the Youth Ministry at Greater Centenniel AME Zion.
